Dear friends,
I am writing to you to give you an update on our plans to start gather again for worship. Your leadership team has been meeting weekly to pray for you and to talk about plans for assembling together for worship. I hope you understand that these are tough decisions that have to be made and we are doing our best to take in all the information that is available to us and then make these decisions. I am aware that any decision we made can and will be questioned but please understand that we are praying and seeking leadership from the Lord and believe that the following plan is what’s best for our church, your safety and our future.
Beginning next Sunday, May 3rd we will meet @ 10:45 for a lawn chair worship service. We are asking you to park your car on the east parking lot or on our property north of our buildings. We would like for you to bring a lawn chair or a blanket so that you can sit on the hill or in the west parking lot (we will have chairs available for you to use at church.) We will have a trailer set up by the building to lead from. We will be on Facebook Live starting at 10:00am with Bro. Coy leading, we will not have a Sunday night service.
When it comes to our Sunday school, Christian life classes at 5:30 Sunday evening and our Wednesday night meal and classes, all of these are postponed until June 7th. We have made this difficult decision in hope of the virus being under control. While we are not meeting together on Wednesday until June, Bro. Will is going to share a word from God’s Word each Wednesday @ 7:00pm on Facebook Live beginning May 13th. Feel free to join us for this time.
The rest of the May schedule will be as follows: May 10th Bible Study @ 10:00am on Facebook Live with Bro. Donnie leading. Morning Worship @ 10:45 in sanctuary followed by our evening worship @ 6:30pm in sanctuary. May 17 Bible Study on Facebook with Bro. Virgil leading followed by morning worship in sanctuary @10:45am with our evening service to begin at 6:30pm. May 24 we will again have Bible Study @10:00am on Facebook Live with Bro. Coy leading followed by our morning worship @ 10:45 in our sanctuary. We will not have our evening service this Sunday. May 31st we will do our last Bible study on Facebook Live with Bro. Donnie leading followed by our morning worship @ 10:45 and our evening worship @ 6:30pm. The following Sunday June 7th our regular schedule will resume.
I know these are difficult days and we still face a lot of uncertainty, but I will assure you that we are keeping up to date with all that is happening and will make adjustments as needed. I would like to ask each of you to continue to pray for me and our leadership team as we seek to make decisions that will honor God and ensure your safety.
